My Approach

A counselling space that honours your story

Every person’s journey is unique — which is why I take an integrated, person-centred approach to counselling. That means we’ll work together in a way that feels right for you, with space for your lived experiences, your pace, and your values.

Whether you're facing addiction, grief, emotional overwhelm or simply feeling stuck, my role is to offer a warm and supportive environment where you can explore what’s really going on beneath the surface. There’s no pressure to have it all figured out — just a gentle, curious space to begin.

How I Work

My approach is grounded in evidence-based methods that support emotional healing, self-understanding, and lasting change. These therapies are not one-size-fits-all — they’re woven together to reflect what you need most at any given point in our work together.

Therapies I Draw From

I specialise in supporting clients through addiction and grief and loss, drawing on a range of evidence-based therapies to meet each person with care and respect. These approaches are gently integrated into our sessions, depending on what feels most supportive for you.

Person-Centred Therapy
At the heart of everything is you — your story, your strengths, and your voice. I offer a non-judgmental, empathic space where you can explore your feelings and experiences with compassion and safety.

Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)
Using Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), I help clients build practical skills for managing emotions, navigating relationships, and staying grounded during life’s most challenging moments.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
ACT helps you become more present, embrace your emotions, and take steps toward a life that’s aligned with your values — even when things feel hard.

Polyvagal Theory
We’ll explore the link between your nervous system and emotional wellbeing, so you can better understand your stress responses and learn how to feel safer and more regulated in your body.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)
We all carry different “parts” of ourselves — some protective, some wounded. IFS allows us to explore these parts gently, helping you foster inner harmony and self-compassion.

Together, we’ll go at your pace

I’ll never rush your process or try to “fix” you. Instead, I offer consistent, compassionate support as we explore what’s getting in the way — and what’s waiting to grow. My role is to walk alongside you as you build emotional resilience, deepen self-understanding, and connect with your values.

If you’d like to learn more or feel ready to begin, I’d love to hear from you.
